Tuition & Billing

Cost: $25/30 min. session
Lessons are weekly unless otherwise agreed upon. They are billed monthly by adding up the number of sessions that will occur during the month, with respect to any holidays I will not be teaching (e.g., a student who is scheduled for four 30-minute lessons will be billed $100). Payment is due at the first lesson of each month. Credit/debit cards and PayPal are accepted methods of payment for Skype and in-person lessons, although cash and check are only accepted for in-person lessons. There is a $35 return check fee. All online payments incur a 3% convenience fee.

Invoices are sent out 7 days before the last day of the month, and are due by the 1st of the next month. Cash and checks are due at the first lesson of each month.

All invoices, electronic payments, scheduling, and practicing will be managed through the web application My Music Staff.

What to Expect from Me

I promise to treat my students and their families with respect at all times, provide my best instruction possible, and provide my students with the skills and tools they need to succeed in learning their instrument. I will respond to your calls, emails, and messages in a timely and professional manner.

Expectations of Student/Parent

Attendance and punctuality are expected for all lessons. Students are strongly encouraged to practice their instrument frequently. A recommended starting point is four times a week, outside of lessons. In addition, students are expected to have their own guitar, and accessories as needed.

Cancellations

All cancellations made by me will be made up. If the lesson cannot be rescheduled, you will be refunded for that lesson.
There will be no lessons on the following days: New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day.
Lessons may be cancelled by the student prior to 24 hours before the lesson. Lessons missed by the student or cancelled within 24 hours of the lesson, for any reason, will not be made up or rescheduled, and will not be refunded.

Discontinuation of Lessons

Everyone quits lessons at some point. Ideally, this decision will be made after a discussion with the student, parent (if student is a child), and myself. However, I respect the decision of any student wishing to discontinue lessons for any reason, at any time. Please note that prepaid lessons are non-refundable.
